Job Summary
Lead Terra Energy's engineering organization by defining the technology roadmap for a distributed compute platform powered by servers, PCs, and multi-GPU infrastructure. Oversee architecture, deployment, and optimization of cloud systems, enterprise software, and hardware integration across distributed locations. Partner with executive leadership to align technical initiatives with business objectives, conduct design reviews, and foster engineering best practices. Evaluate internal platforms supporting finance and operations, drive automation, and scale a high-performing team capable of executing complex initiatives simultaneously. Explore blockchain and AI opportunities to enhance infrastructure and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of scaling engineering organizations
- Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud and distributed computing infrastructure at scale
- Strong hands-on knowledge of servers, PCs, multi-GPU systems, and hardware architecture
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams while driving multiple complex technical initiatives simultaneously
- Deep understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure reliability
- Proven ability to develop and execute long-term technology strategies aligned with business objectives
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and executive teams
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Willingness to work from or relocate to South or Central Florida (Miami preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with distributed or decentralized compute platforms
- Knowledge of AI infrastructure, GPU orchestration, or high-performance computing (HPC)
- Experience integrating enterprise software with financial or payment systems
- Familiarity with blockchain technologies, decentralized finance (DeFi), or digital asset infrastructure
- Experience in the renewable energy, solar, or energy technology industry
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI-driven solutions to improve business operations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Advanced degrees are a plus
