Job Summary
Chief Technology Officer at NYC Kids RISE responsible for setting long-term technology vision and leading teams to build and maintain scalable data, technology and product solutions for the Save for College Program. Lead cybersecurity, data operations and analytics, and technology operations, including CRM and a student-facing web portal, while collaborating with NYC Public Schools, city agencies, financial partners, vendors, and participating families. Role emphasizes product leadership, secure infrastructure, AI/automation enablement, and a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and privacy. Supports a hybrid work model with offices in Long Island City (Queens, NY).
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of technology leadership experience
- 8+ years minimum in managing people and teams
- 2+ years of senior or executive leadership experience; C-level preferred
- Experience overseeing diverse technology portfolio areas (technology, product leadership, cybersecurity)
- Proven experience developing and scaling online products
- Experience with user experience and SaaS metrics; awareness of digital equity considerations
- Understanding of AI and automation tools and their deployment to improve workflows
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple complex projects
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Experience leading product teams and managing external vendors
- Commitment to increasing economic opportunities for low-income NYC families
- Hybrid work environment familiarity; office in Long Island City (Queens, NY)
