Chief Spacecraft Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the design, development, integration, testing, launch, and on-orbit operations of next-generation ESPA-class spacecraft from concept through mission end-of-life. Serve as the technical leader for custom satellite programs, overseeing requirements definition, system design, assembly, environmental qualification, and launch integration. Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams of spacecraft, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers while driving program execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Lead anomaly investigations, root-cause analysis, and mission assurance activities to ensure compliance with NASA and SpaceX standards. Interface with launch providers, government agencies, and customers to deliver high-performance spacecraft on aggressive timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field
- 3+ years of spacecraft engineering experience, including flight-proven spacecraft development
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong technical project management experience with ownership of complex hardware programs
- Proven track record of delivering spacecraft programs that exceed schedule, performance, and cost objectives
- Working knowledge of NASA and SpaceX spacecraft requirements and launch integration processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

- Master's or PhD
