Job Summary
The Chief Solicitor for Labor and Employment will primarily focus on dispute resolution in court and administrative environments, defending the City's interests in various employment matters. Candidates must possess a law degree from an accredited school, be admitted to the Maryland Bar, and have a minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, including trial experience. Required Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Bar of the State of Maryland
- Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience
- Actual trial experience
- Sworn-in federal court or eligible for immediate swearing-in
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive litigation experience
- Substantive knowledge of state and federal employment law and traditional labor law
- Strong technology skills including electronic discovery
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as Westlaw
