Job Summary
Own commercial strategy for both Jonas Fintech brands, assessing performance against growth plans and resetting direction where needed. Drive execution of the growth strategy across Paygate and London & Zurich, leading two distinct sales motions: renewal-timed competitor displacement and inbound/partnering. Direct the marketing function, including brand positioning, demand generation, and go-to-market execution. Lead commercial negotiation on partnering agreements, align the product roadmap with commercial opportunity, and ensure operational delivery matches sales promises. Manage a team of approximately seven, including sales lines, marketing roles, and business development. Represent the commercial perspective in SLT-level strategy discussions while working with compliance to ensure regulatory adherence. This remote contract requires occasional in-person attendance at all-company and group events, plus travel to partners and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating in a regulated industry and managing sales teams within that constraint
- Experience with the FCA
- Proven track record of setting and evolving commercial strategy
- Track record managing more than one sales motion concurrently, with different metrics and cadences for each
- Experience executing and shaping commercial strategy over a sustained period
- Demonstrable commercial success in a sales leadership role
- Strong people management track record
- Able to read and negotiate complex commercial contracts personally
- Collaborative operating style, particularly with product, operations and compliance functions
- This is a remote contract
- Expectation to meet in person at all-company town hall events and Vesta Group events
- Role carries its own travel, to partners, and to clients and prospective clients, as the work demands
- Travel expenses are covered by the company
- 37.5 scheduled weekly hours
