Chief Resident Engineer in Alma (Quebec) – Isle-Maligne Power Plant Project (Open)

Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of resident engineers on-site for a hydroelectric modernization project in Alma, acting as the primary liaison between the construction site and the Montreal design team. Ensure daily technical coordination across multiple engineering disciplines, review and validate technical solutions for project requirements, participate in coordination meetings with clients and contractors, monitor technical issues and change requests, and ensure use of the latest revisions of drawings and specifications to support construction, safety, quality, and schedule objectives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical, eligibility for OIQ registration, at least 15 years of multidisciplinary project experience in hydroelectric plants or similar facilities, and fluency in French and English.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical
- Member of, or eligible for registration with, the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience
- Experience in hydroelectric power plants and/or industrial facilities (asset)
- Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating technical teams on major projects
- Strong understanding of construction practices, codes, and standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written) and English (spoken)
