Job Summary
Oversee the development, coordination, and implementation of the hospital's performance improvement plan while chairing the performance improvement committee to ensure alignment with Joint Commission (JC) regulations. Act as the primary liaison between hospital departments, medical staff, and administration on all quality-related matters, serving as the main contact for JC surveys, applications, and correspondence. Lead the JC Task Force to prepare the hospital for accreditation surveys and provide education to staff on quality standards, performance improvement methodologies, and regulatory updates including OSHA, CDC, and JC requirements. Maintain complete records of all performance improvement activities, review professional journals for the latest developments, and coordinate medical staff performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 5-7 years of direct experience in nursing, quality management, performance improvement, or a related field
- 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing, quality management, performance improvement, or a related field
- Working knowledge of general hospital operations, JC standards, CMS requirements, and DOH regulations
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Quality, or related field
- 5-7 years of clinical nursing experience at an acute care facility
- CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
