Job Summary
Lead product strategy and development for STR's Collaborative Autonomy and Controls (CAC) within the AC2 Division. Drive backlog shaping with customers and capability owners, align product development with agile processes, and coordinate with diverse teams to enable reusable offerings for B2G and B2B opportunities. Collaborate with customers, end users, and capability product owners to shape backlogs, participate in architecture and design reviews, and demonstrate CAC capabilities. Requires 15+ years of engineering leadership, expertise in autonomy systems and multi-agent coordination, motion planning, localization, mapping, controls, and experience leading 10-40 engineers through Agile lifecycle. Must be a US citizen able to obtain security clearance; a flexible hybrid work environment is supported.
Required Qualifications
- BS in engineering or related technical field
- 15+ years’ experience
- Demonstrated expertise in autonomy system and algorithm development
- Experience leading system and technology development teams
- Proven understanding of multi-agent systems, collaborative operations, coordination and orchestration algorithms, distributed sense-making and control, and collaborative autonomy stacks
- Proven understanding of motion planning, constraint optimization, perception, localization, mapping, controls, and related system performance metrics
- Proven ability to lead moderate to large engineering teams (10-40 engineers) through complete Agile development lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience in working with both internal leadership and external customers in the development and execution of technology and system development programs
- US. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Even Better: MBA or advanced degree in technical field
- Active Security Clearance
