Job Summary
Chief Plumber position aboard Marella Discovery2 cruise vessel. Responsible for maintenance, operation, repair and plumbing of all systems (hot/cold potable water, gray/black water, HVAC) outside the engine room; oversees maintenance in accordance with company policies and regulations; coordinates with technical departments; reports to Hotel Engineer; leads Subordinates (Assistant Plumber); requires STCW 95 certification, extensive shipboard plumbing experience, and fluent English. 9-month contract with embarkation on 16 August 2026; onboard safety and regulatory compliance mandatory; physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, and potential overtime; rotation and salary details refer to contract.
Required Qualifications
- Valid STCW 95 certification
- Appropriate certification as required by regulations
- Extensive experience in subordinate positions and on board passenger ships as a Plumber or in a similar role
- Physically and medically fit
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals
- Language: Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical)
