Job Summary
Chief Pilot to lead and build the aviation function for a newly acquired corporate aircraft (2002 Cessna CJ2). Serve as Pilot-in-Command for company flights, conducting an average of 3 trips per month with up to 8 no-fly days monthly. Develop and enforce SOPs aligned with FAA regulations, oversee flight operations, compliance, safety management, aircraft readiness, maintenance coordination, budgeting, and vendor relationships. Responsible for flight department growth, regulatory interactions, flight scheduling and documentation, and ensuring airworthiness and readiness at all times. Requires FAA ATP, First-Class Medical, CJ2 experience or similar, and minimum flight-hour thresholds with prior leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate
- Type rating and/or significant experience in Cessna Citation CJ2 or similar light jets strongly preferred
- Minimum 3,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 hours turbine time
- Previous leadership role (Chief Pilot/Lead Pilot or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of FAA Part 91 operations (Part 135 a plus)
