Job Summary
Create and implement the annual development plan, including calendars, strategies, and guidelines for operating support. Develop and monitor the contributed revenue and expense budget for department operations and special events. Recruit and lead the Development team, assigning and monitoring fund development goals for officers covering individuals, corporate giving, foundations, and government relations. Research corporate, foundation, and public sector prospects while growing mid-level and major gifts programs through identification, cultivation, and solicitation. Collaborate with the Board and Executive Director to integrate the Capital Campaign Plan into long-term annual fund needs. Provide fundraising coaching to Board members and facilitate staff development through training and professional enrichment. Steward donors by responding to gifts promptly and monitor actual versus budgeted metrics. Cultivate strong partnerships with management, the Board, and community members while participating in community events and all TUTS special events.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a related field
- considerable experience in fundraising, public relations, communications, or related area
- understanding of non-profit organizations
- minimum of 5 years not for profit fundraising and grant writing experience
- Strong commitment to exemplary relationship building

- Ability to engage in prospect research and identify new donors
- Ability to listen effectively to assist staff and volunteers in identifying and resolving challenges with creativity and efficiency

- Knowledge of Windows products, including Word and Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
