Job Summary

Chief People Officer responsible for shaping a modern, remote people and culture strategy aligned with multi-year goals and core values. Lead and coach the People team, partner with executive leadership on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning. Drive labor relations within a unionized environment, manage the collective bargaining framework, and build robust learning and development pipelines. Oversee HR operations including payroll, total rewards, and leave administration, while optimizing budgets and operational systems. Foster an inclusive, mission-driven culture with a strong focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across entirely distributed, remote teams, including collaboration with international entities. Leverage data and analytics to enhance effectiveness, engagement, and organizational resilience. Remote work is supported from anywhere within the United States.

Required Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of progressive People/HR experience
  • at least 5 years in an executive-level leadership role
  • direct experience working within unionized environments and managing collective bargaining agreements
  • ability to design and implement a remote people and culture strategy for distributed teams
  • experience leading organizational change and workforce planning
  • ability to develop personnel frameworks for 24/7, shift-based environments
  • strong emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging practices
