Job Summary
Executive COO responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Heart of Florida Health Centers, overseeing day-to-day operations, facilities, contact center, IT/EHR and informatics, vendor and contract management, patient access, and organizational performance across multiple sites. Leads operational infrastructure, workforce engagement, regulatory compliance (HRSA, HIPAA, OSHA, FTCA), and continuous improvement to enhance patient experience, quality outcomes, and financial sustainability. Collaborates with executive leadership and clinical leadership to align operations with HFHC’s mission and growth initiatives; requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s strongly preferred) and 5+ years in healthcare operations leadership with multi-site experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience
- Experience within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, multi-site medical practice, or integrated healthcare organization strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-site healthcare operations and operational teams
- Experience overseeing facilities management, operational infrastructure, and healthcare technology systems preferred
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, workflow optimization, and healthcare operational analytics required
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar healthcare platforms preferred
- Strong executive leadership and organizational management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead operational transformation and organizational change initiatives
- Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics, operational reports, and financial data
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, healthcare technology systems, facilities management, patient flow, staffing models, and operational analytics
- Strong understanding of EHR systems, healthcare information technology, and operational workflow optimization
- Knowledge of healthcare cybersecurity principles, HIPAA regulations, and operational risk management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Essential functions include executive leadership across clinical and administrative locations, operational strategy, HRSA regulation compliance, and multi-site oversight
