Job Summary
COO role at Human Rights Watch responsible for day-to-day internal operations across multiple functions, including Finance & Accounting, Global Financial Operations, Information Security & Technology, General Counsel, People & Culture, Real Estate, and Security. Leads operational strategy, ensures alignment with mission and values, drives performance, and collaborates with Executive Director and senior leaders to optimize resources, risk management, and organization-wide policy implementation. Requires extensive senior leadership experience, strong financial acumen, change management, and ability to manage a global workforce across multiple time zones. Strong preference for offices in New York, Washington D.C., or London with travel anticipated.
