Job Summary
COO role overseeing day-to-day operations across finance, people and culture, communications, member relations, and technology for Swimming Canada. Leads strategic planning, KPI reporting, budget processes, payroll, asset management, insurance, technology portfolio, external communications, member services, and risk management. Collaborates with CEO and executive team to drive organizational growth, implement SOPs, and manage multiple portfolios while guiding leadership, mentorship, and performance of direct reports across finance, HR, communications, operations, and member relations.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- An accounting designation is desired and would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial analysis, accounting and reporting, including leading financial strategy and planning within a non-profit organization.
- Experience with board of directors, finance committees, and external auditors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience directly and indirectly managing employees, contractors and other support personnel.
- Experience working with organizational risk management and risk assessment processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
