Job Summary
Chief Operating Officer overseeing AMR Research operations: collaborates with CEO/executive leadership to develop and implement research and operational strategies; drives growth by identifying opportunities; translates strategic goals into actionable plans; manages daily research operations including clinical trials, data management, and regulatory compliance; refines processes for efficiency and scalability; implements performance metrics; oversees budgets and funding, forecasts costs, and ensures financial sustainability; builds and leads high-performing, diverse teams; mentors department leaders; advances adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies (e.g., CTMS, data analytics) to enhance efficiency and quality; represents organization in industry forums and strategic partnerships; ensures regulatory and ethical standards are met; requires advanced degree and extensive senior leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred
- 15+ years’ experience in research operations
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Experience managing global operations and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Fluent in English
