Job Summary
Chief of Staff to the VP of Engineering focusing on high-impact operational execution. Owns special projects across the engineering org, identifies and closes gaps, and serves as the connective tissue between engineering and the rest of the company. Manages vendor relationships and supports recruiting operations (engineering onsites and aligned hiring processes). Plans and executes recurring team meetings and tech all-hands. Requires 3+ years in analytical roles (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, private equity), strong analytical and budget/contract experience, a self-starter mindset, low ego with high ownership, and effective communication to senior stakeholders. Transition into tech and curiosity about how engineering organizations work are valued.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a similarly demanding analytical environment
- Demonstrated success in taking ambiguous, complex initiatives and driving them to completion
- Strong analytical instincts with comfort around budgets, vendor contracts, and building a business case from scratch
- Self-starter who identifies what needs to be done without being told and takes ownership without a playbook
- Low ego and high ownership; ability to influence and drive outcomes through relationships
- Excitement to transition into tech and genuine curiosity about how engineering organizations work
- Clear, confident communicator capable of synthesizing complexity and presenting to senior stakeholders
