Job Summary
Design and manage multi-year strategic planning cycles, annual reviews, and operating practices that keep priorities moving across a globally distributed team. Lead ad hoc projects from initiation to close, including drafting concept notes and populating them with relevant data for emerging opportunities. Own preparation for Board of Directors meetings, ensuring on-time delivery of decks and notes while driving engagement with key external stakeholders. Draft high-level communications such as donor updates and strategic announcements to maintain alignment between staff, board, and partners. Support the CEO as a thought partner and implementer, ensuring strategic initiatives progress internally from modeling multi-country initiatives to organizing strategic retreats.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including supporting a CEO or senior leadership in a global, mission-driven organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment and discretion
- Strategic thinking paired with a strong bias toward action and results
- Comfort working independently while anticipating needs and proactively solving problems
- Self-driven and highly professional, with an entrepreneurial spirit
- A genuine interest in community-driven development
- Proven ability to support cross-time zone collaboration
- New York City preferred; remote candidates considered
- Full time
- Three months probation period with learning and performance objectives
