Job Summary

Chief of Staff & Operating Officer at IMPACCT Brooklyn to serve as the Executive Director’s strategic partner and the organization’s senior operational integrator. Translate the organization’s vision, Housing First strategy, and IMPACCT 2.0 priorities into day-to-day execution; oversee enterprise operating rhythms; partner with leaders across housing operations, asset and portfolio performance, finance, compliance, property management, and development; support Board and committee processes; build and manage an enterprise performance-management system with dashboards and KPIs; drive budget discipline and resource allocation; ensure strong compliance and risk management across affordable housing and nonprofit operations; lead executive and cross-department planning, board materials, and governance follow-up; sponsor major strategic initiatives and transformation projects; supervise senior leaders responsible for Programs and Human Resources; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, equity, transparency, and continuous improvement across operating functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, urban planning, real estate, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in senior operations, chief of staff, deputy, COO, or equivalent enterprise leadership roles
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing complex initiatives, supporting executive and board processes, and using data to drive accountability and operational improvement
