Job Summary
Chief of Staff at Banfield Pet Hospitals leads hospital operations with ~20-30% leadership duties and 70-80% veterinary duties, partners with the Practice Manager to ensure high-quality care, client service, and productivity, oversees scheduling and development plans for Associate Veterinarians, mentors veterinary staff, drives compliance with Banfield protocols, and contributes to financial and market objectives while maintaining the hospital’s culture and brand.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board
- Two years clinical experience required
- 1-3 years coaching and developing associate doctors required
- Meets all required clinical competencies
- DEA: Candidate must obtain state-controlled substance and federal DEA license within 3 months of employment, unless otherwise required by the state in which working
- USDA: Accredited by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, National Veterinary Accreditation Program within 3 months of employment
