Job Summary
Chief of Staff in Tokyo serves as the in-market operational and strategic lead for Arrowroot Capital’s Japan-based consulting and analytics program with a leading global beverage client. Responsibilities include serving as the primary in-market interface for client executives and operational teams, translating advanced analytics into practical business strategies that drive sales, margin, and brand equity, leading client meetings, and overseeing all Japan-based program operations. The role also encompasses implementing Arrowroot Capital’s Price Image Science and advanced analytics, partner collaboration with global data science and BI teams, managing change management initiatives, designing training programs, and acting as a strategic cultural translator between global leadership and Japan-based stakeholders. Requires 10+ years of relevant experience, fluency in Japanese and English, and strong cross-cultural communication, with a focus on delivering data-driven, business-ready insights and sustained client impact.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in management consulting, commercial strategy, or analytics-driven transformation, preferably in retail, CPG, or beverage sectors
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programs integrating data, analytics, and operations
- Strong understanding of Japan’s retail, vending, and consumer goods ecosystems
- Fluent Japanese and English, with exceptional cross-cultural communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in interpreting analytical models, BI dashboards, and operational KPIs
- Experience in change management, technology adoption, or digital transformation initiatives
