Job Summary
Chief of Staff to the President & CEO at The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore. The COS serves as a senior strategic partner, supervising staff and ensuring operational excellence within the Executive Office. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and managing engagement strategies for all Boards, serving as a primary liaison to Board leadership, overseeing organizational brand and messaging, leading special projects and strategic initiatives, identifying organizational gaps and developing solutions, and fostering donor relations and stakeholder engagement. The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, governance compliance, and ensuring a consistent representation of The Associated’s mission and values. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred), extensive experience in strategy/operations/communications, executive- and board-facing exposure, supervisory experience, discretion with sensitive information, and strong communication and project-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- More than 8 years’ work related experience in strategy, operations, consulting, communications, or a similarly demanding environment
- Experience working with executives and Board members
- 5-8 years of supervisory experience; demonstrated ability to lead across multiple departments
- Comfort with fast moving environments
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to exercise discretion and a very high level of confidentiality with sensitive information is required
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities is required
- Ability to participate and collaborate in a team is required
