Chief of Staff
$160,000–$200,000 year
On-siteAustin, Texas, United States
Job Summary
Solve hard problems by taking the hardest unowned questions on the company's list and returning with actionable recommendations and plans. Stand up new initiatives from zero, such as a nationwide insurance brokerage or PMI roll-off product, run them until they are real, and hand them off to permanent owners. Own finance operations by managing the outsourced controller and bookkeeping, building the budget, and maintaining the monthly close cadence. Track company KPIs, monitor actuals against projections, and flag variances before they become surprises. Manage legal and regulatory matters by working with in-house and outside counsel on contracts, entity work, and compliance diligence with banks and credit unions. Operate as an extension of the CEO on weekly priorities, including board and investor material, while turning research into short, decision-ready documents. Based in Austin, this role reports to the CEO with a base salary of $160,000–$200,000 plus equity.
