Chief of Radiology - SMG, Physician

Lead strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for radiology services across all system hospitals, ambulatory centers, and free-standing emergency departments. Maintain active clinical practice as the primary backstop for emergency coverage, rapidly stepping into reading rotations to cover unexpected callouts, volume surges, or staffing shortages. Direct system-employed radiologists while managing independent contracted groups, enforcing Service Level Agreements and standardizing peer-review frameworks. Advocate for division resources to the SMG President, monitor regional turnaround metrics, and cultivate networks with local primary care and specialty providers to ensure seamless 24/7 diagnostic coverage. This hybrid role balances administrative duties with clinical flexibility, reporting directly to the SMG President to maximize market share and ensure clinical excellence.
