Job Summary
Chief of Engineering provides senior-level leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for all engineering, infrastructure, and technical-systems functions supporting SOSi’s emergency-response missions. Leads engineering for deployable infrastructure such as mobile medical units, field hospitals, power systems, and environmental-control systems; establishes engineering standards, technical policies, and lifecycle-management plans; coordinates with federal, state, and private-sector partners (e.g., FEMA, DoD, USACE, HHS) to ensure mission-readiness and deployable capability. Oversees preventive maintenance, certifications, and readiness documentation; drives technical integration and innovation; manages budgets, procurement, and workforce development; ensures compliance with safety and federal engineering standards; supervises federal staff, contractors, and technical specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering
- 5 years of experience in engineering services supporting emergency response, deployable infrastructure, and power and mission critical systems
- U.S. citizenship required
- May have to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance (depending on customer)
