Job Summary
Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Kaweah Health accountable for administrative oversight and strategic leadership of all nursing practice and services. The role focuses on patient safety, development of a high-functioning nursing team, and reducing novice workforce challenges through skill development and education partnerships. Emphasizes a culture of compassion, high standards for nursing care, and stronger nurse-physician collaboration. Requires RN with MSN or Doctorate in Nursing and a proven track record in leadership, vision articulation, and execution of fundamental skills training initiatives, ideally with ICU/critical care experience. The CNO will drive retention, improve clinical outcomes, and align nursing culture with the organization’s mission and vision.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing
- minimum leadership experience in healthcare
- ability to improve objective measures such as infection rates and patient experience scores
- experience in critical care nursing (ICU) is advantageous
- strong communication and collaboration skills with physicians and education departments
