Job Summary
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) leads nursing operations and strategic direction across the organization, providing senior-level leadership, management, and vision to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include collaborating with the executive team to shape long-term strategy, overseeing quality-nursing practice, coordinating and delivering patient care services, and guiding organizational change to improve nursing practice. The role requires extensive healthcare leadership experience (including pediatric hospital experience), a master’s degree in nursing, healthcare, or business, and a current Texas nursing license. Advanced certification in the area of specialty is preferred, with Magnet Recognition or Pathways to Excellence experience also favored. Strong project management, communication, interpersonal, and regulatory knowledge are essential to promote teamwork, drive clinical governance, and achieve organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Ten years progressively responsible Healthcare Leadership experience to include 3 to 5 years pediatric hospital experience
- Master's Degree in nursing, healthcare, or business
- Current license for Texas State Board of Nursing Examiners
