The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) leads nursing operations and strategic direction across the organization, providing senior-level leadership, management, and vision to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include collaborating with the executive team to shape long-term strategy, overseeing quality-nursing practice, coordinating and delivering patient care services, and guiding organizational change to improve nursing practice. The role requires extensive healthcare leadership experience (including pediatric hospital experience), a master’s degree in nursing, healthcare, or business, and a current Texas nursing license. Advanced certification in the area of specialty is preferred, with Magnet Recognition or Pathways to Excellence experience also favored.
