Chief Medical Officer - Psychiatrist

Job Summary
Lead quality assurance, medical management, and protocol development for the 120-bed inpatient facility, defining clinical care standards and supervising professional and administrative staff. Provide direct patient care, including securing physical exams, requesting diagnostics, prescribing medications, and managing behavioral health problems while maintaining clinical records. Serve as a liaison between medical, division, and corporate leadership, oversee adherence to policies, and provide backup call coverage. Manage facility finances, budgets, and billing, while developing organizational goals and updating general policies. Teach and train other personnel in clinical development.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
- Board certified in Psychiatry
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine by the state in which the facility operates
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Director
