Job Summary
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) role leading executive and clinical strategy at ChildServe. Drives physician leadership for Medical Staff, oversees credentialing, peer review, governance, and engagement; leads quality, safety, accreditation, and performance improvement; partners with IT/analytics to optimize informatics and data-driven decision-making; advances pediatric clinical program innovation, growth, and external leadership across service lines; requires MD or DO with Iowa license, 10+ years post-residency clinical experience, and 2+ years in healthcare executive leadership. Advanced degrees preferred; board certification in Pediatrics or subspecialty preferred; benefits include comprehensive health, retirement, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty (preferred)
- Unrestricted Iowa medical license (or eligibility)
- DEA as applicable
- Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MHA, MPH) preferred
- Ten years of post-residency clinical experience
- Two years in healthcare executive or senior medical leadership
- Experience leading Medical Staff affairs, accreditation/regulatory readiness, quality/safety programs, and multi-site pediatric services
- Proven strategic planning and execution across clinical programs and service lines
- Understanding of pediatric Medicaid, managed care, and value-based models
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, influence, and coaching capabilities
