Job Summary
Lead clinical oversight and strategic direction for all healthcare services at David Raines Community Health Center, serving as the primary medical advisor to the CEO. Develop and implement clinical policies, recruit and evaluate physicians, and chair quality improvement, peer review, and risk management committees. Ensure regulatory compliance with HRSA, HIPAA, and CMS standards while managing clinical budgets and optimizing electronic health record systems. Drive initiatives to improve patient safety, address health disparities, and expand service lines within the Executive Leadership Team.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Minimum of five years of progressive physician leadership experience, preferably in an FQHC, community health center or other ambulatory care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and healthcare technology
- Experience supervising physicians and advanced practice providers
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and healthcare operations
- Experience working with underserved, uninsured and culturally diverse populations
- Current unrestricted medical license in the State of Louisiana
- Current DEA registration
- Board Certification in an approved medical specialty
- BLS (American Heart Association)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of FQHC regulations and HRSA Health Center Program requirements preferred
