Job Summary
Oversee preventive diagnostic, treatment, and referral care for all MedNorth Health Center patients while managing the delivery and quality of clinical services. Establish and modify health care standards, protocols, and continuous quality improvement programs based on community needs and federal initiatives. Coordinate patient care plans, supervise clinical and administrative staff, and lead budget development decisions affecting clinical activities. Conduct regular clinical provider meetings and present monthly health and quality assurance reports to the Board of Directors. Develop after-hour call coverage rotation schedules and participate in periodic management reviews to ensure practice management functions align with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina
- Completion of an approved residency training program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Board eligible or certified
- Two years or more experience in patient care delivery/management and supervision and administration
- Ability to supervise the medical department's personnel both clinically and administratively
- A strong positive community/public health orientation and ability to demonstrate sincere concern for the welfare of all people served by the Center
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate activities with other Center personnel and health care providers
- Must be able to identify a problem, identify possible solutions, make a decision on one of the possible solutions, implement the decision, and evaluate the results
- Ability to speak English fluently
- North Carolina Medical License
- Controlled Substance Registration Certification
- (BLS) Basic Life Support
- (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support
