Job Summary
Chief Learning Officer (CLO) to lead Fordham’s Instructional Excellence Framework across Ohio portfolio. Lead academic strategy, school evaluation, and professional learning; translate strategy into actionable supports; ensure alignment of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment with student outcomes; build and guide the instructional team; provide evidence-based feedback during site visits, renewal decisions, and contract negotiations; foster cross-school collaboration and a community of practice; drive continuous improvement in instructional quality and accountability across Fordham-sponsored schools; requires data-informed decision making and strong stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include academic leadership and strategy, team leadership and capacity building, professional learning and talent development, school evaluation and oversight, and compensation/benefits planning; travel within Ohio is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of instructional leadership experience in urban charter schools as a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Academic Officer, Superintendent, Principal Manager, or similar role
- Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience
- Deep charter school experience with a demonstrated track record of success in improving student academic outcomes
- Experience coaching school leaders and senior instructional leaders
- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating effective professional development
