Job Summary
Chief Inspector to supervise and direct all personnel assigned to inspection and nondestructive testing; manage work orders and inspection forms for quick access; perform periodic checks on inspection tools and precision test equipment; maintain calibration records within required periods; execute FAA Form 337 and maintenance release for items released to service; supervise preliminary, hidden damage, inspection continuity, and final inspection of processed items; submit Service Difficulty Reports; ensure proper disposal or return of rejected/unserviceable parts; maintain roster of management and supervisory personnel; control shelf-life items and maintain manuals, directives, and regulations library; establish and administer a corrective action system to address quality problems; prepare information for FAA submissions and updates on repair-station capabilities; perform review inspections and self-audits; assist in budgets and manpower forecasts; analyze quality data to develop QA methods, procedures, and systems; perform special assignments as directed; preference for Part 145 experience and Quantum experience.
Required Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant Certification or Repairman’s Certification
- NDT Certified (Level 2 or 3)
- 3+ years working in an inspection role in the aviation industry
- Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills.
- Subject to an annual vision test.
- Employees are subject to the FAA/Drug/Alcohol program.
- Experience working in a Part 145 Repair Shop
- Quantum experience
