Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) - Cryptocurrency

Lead information security for a cryptocurrency company, owning the development and execution of the security program across governance, risk, and compliance. Build and scale security controls and policies for stablecoin operations, wallet infrastructure, cloud environments, APIs, and digital asset platforms; oversee audits, regulatory readiness, vendor due diligence, and institutional due diligence; partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to embed crypto security into product design and operations; drive security governance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, controls, and audits) and executive risk reporting; manage incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, access controls, and data protection; lead security awareness training focused on crypto-native risks; mentor and grow the information security function. Qualifications include 10+ years in information security leadership, strong familiarity with relevant frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, COBIT), and experience in crypto/ blockchain contexts; excellent communication with executives, compliance, legal, engineering, auditors, regulators, and banking partners; preferred certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, GIAC).
