Job Summary
The CIO leads IT strategy across the university enterprise, overseeing the Office of Information Technology and collaborating with academic, administrative, and external stakeholders to ensure IT integration, compliance, and effectiveness. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring IT teams (applications, databases, help desk, budgeting), planning and deploying IT systems and services including AI integration, ensuring information security, supporting online education and the library’s digital initiatives, and shaping strategic technology plans and policies. Requires an advanced degree and senior-level IT leadership experience with a proven ability to drive planning, budgeting, governance, and cross-functional collaboration in a public university environment.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree from an accredited higher education institution
- Senior-level experience in progressively responsible information technology
- Demonstrated record of collaborative, data-driven decision making with administration, faculty, staff, students and external constituencies
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, personnel, resource allocation, and budget/fiscal management
