Job Summary

Lead and drive IT strategies for Manulife International Limited (MIL) Hong Kong to ensure delivery of an optimum IT model supporting organizational aspirations and ongoing quality business-as-usual operations. Direct the development and implementation of Manulife IT strategies to foster digital innovation, IT applications, and infrastructure development while overseeing the Portfolio Management and Delivery Services function including Business Analysis and Solution Design. Manage relevant local projects and portfolios, ensuring management structures reflect market-leading best practices and overseeing successful delivery of transformation commitments related to acquisitions, IT improvements, application transformation, and investment cost management. Collaborate with Hong Kong and regional leadership teams to support world-class project management activities, ensuring programs are delivered to scope, budget, and schedule expectations. Maintain strong momentum on the ambitious transformation agenda to enable a market-leading customer experience and improved productivity for distribution partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Master degree or high ranking bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration or management discipline
  • Good track record of solid experience in managing IT
  • Strong integration experience with sizable change programs, particularly across functional and/or geographical areas
  • Proven experience of multi-vendor relationship and stakeholder management
  • Extensive insurance industry knowledge and experience, including functional processes and business practices
  • Expert knowledge of change management
  • Broad knowledge of IT systems/ software development life-cycle and Agile
  • Good knowledge of business process and acumen
  • Good experience in building high-performing teams and uplift of management capabilities
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong statutory/ regulatory regimes as well as challenges and restrictions
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and decision making by analyzing and interpreting data
  • Strategic thought leaders with good sense of business transformation
  • Able to engage with and influence senior business leaders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Change agent with ability to challenge status quo constructively
  • Good financial understanding and ability to assess risk on a profitable basis
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders
