Job Summary
Lead the Oregon Legislature’s IT and media services as CIO, directing transformation to an integrated, modern technology stack, sunset of legacy systems, and secure handling of confidential drafts and internal communications. Manage infrastructure powering democracy for 90 lawmakers, staff, and the public; drive digital transformation and modernization, with emphasis on high-impact leadership, strategic planning, cybersecurity, compliance, and collaboration across public policy stakeholders. Requires a bachelor’s degree and nine years of IT management experience, with Six Sigma certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Role is full-time and primarily on-site at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem, with possible occasional remote/work-from-home as business needs allow. The organization emphasizes continuous improvement, quality control, and a secure, transparent public-facing digital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- at least 9 years of IT management experience
- Six Sigma certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
