Job Summary
Visionary and collaborative Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead OSU’s system-wide IT organization across campuses, driving strategic technology initiatives, cybersecurity, and digital experiences for students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include providing executive leadership for IT strategy and operations, ensuring reliable, secure EIT services (including network, voice/telecom, servers, databases, ERP, end-user support, and data center operations), governing IT policy and governance, overseeing approximately 100 IT professionals, managing budgets and vendor relations, and advancing digital transformation across the OSU/A&M System. The role requires collaboration with campus leaders, regulatory knowledge (FERPA, HIPAA), and a strong track record in delivering customer-focused technology solutions in a large, multi-campus higher education environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and ten years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience, including strategic planning and execution, managing enterprise-level IT operations, leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to align IT strategy with institutional goals; knowledge of FERPA/HIPAA; experience with ERP, cloud services, data governance; risk assessments; cybersecurity and compliance.
