Job Summary
Provide financial strategy and multi-year modeling to the CEO, leadership team, and Board, ensuring the organization can afford its strategic roadmap through 2029. Deliver comprehensive reporting for the Board and Risk & Audit Committee while overseeing financial governance, internal controls, and the external audit relationship. Lead a finance team of six, shape the function's systems and improvement agenda, and provide commercial oversight of the social enterprise's model, margins, and reinvestment. Manage external stakeholder relationships including funding bodies, insurers, and commercial partners. Maintain lean operations during funding surpluses to ensure sustainability during downturns.
Required Qualifications
- CPA or Chartered Accountant
- relevant degree
- Senior finance leadership experience
- confidence to hold your own with an engaged Board
- track record of building multi-year financial models that connect strategy to financial capacity
- Strong commercial acumen
- comfortable assessing business performance, margin and investment decisions
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- genuine willingness to delegate
- The ability to make financial information usable by people who do not work in finance
