Job Summary
Guide the Society's financial strategy, investment oversight, and compliance while managing program funding disbursement and reporting. Establish robust financial controls, align procurement with self-determination goals, and mentor the finance function. Steward a $200 million trust fund with responsible, values-aligned principles. Lead financial operations supporting the CEO, COO, and Board of Directors. Requires CPA designation, 10+ years in senior financial leadership, and experience with Sage Intacct and Salesforce. Hybrid role based in Fort St. John with quarterly Board attendance.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of progressive senior financial leadership
- Experience in trust or fund management
- nonprofit or public sector finance
- working with a Board of Directors
- experience modernizing financial systems, processes, and controls
- technology-forward, tech-savvy CFO
- familiarity with responsible or values-aligned investment
