Job Summary
Chief Financial Officer role leading financial, HR, and operations for ACTE; oversees financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, audits, system integrations (iMIS and Sage Intacct), and vendor/contract management; requires strategic leadership, governance, internal controls, and collaboration with the board and executive team; expects CPA, 10+ years in a managerial accounting role within nonprofit/association sectors, expertise with GAAP and government grants, and proficiency with Sage Intacct and iMIS EMS; compensation up to $180k-$200k with strong benefits and bonus potential; hybrid in Alexandria, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- CPA designation required
- 10+ years as a managerial-level accountant with association and/or non-profit experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of government grants and GAAP
- Systems experience: Working knowledge of Sage Intacct and iMIS EMS database is highly preferred
- Supervisory and people management experience
