Job Summary
CFO for Homeboy Industries responsible for strategic financial leadership, overseeing audits, contract administration, financial enterprise systems, real estate development projects, and government grant billing and reconciliation. With a $55M budget, the role guides financial strategy, ensures ERP systems are optimal, develops treasury and cash-management strategies, and provides governance across GAAP, Uniform Guidance, COSO, and donor requirements. The position collaborates with Co-CEOs and the Board to drive performance, strategic planning, and scalable internal controls, while building a high-performing finance team and managing relationships with banks, donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
- 10+ years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience
- Experience as CFO or as second-in-command of a finance function (10+ years total leadership in nonprofit finance)
- Significant experience in a mid- to large-sized nonprofit organization
- Experience managing government-funded contracts
- CPA license (California) preferred
