Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer at Smalls leads Finance and Accounting, owning the operating plan, rolling forecast, and unit economics, including CAC, LTV, and margin reporting across omnichannel channels. The role directs GAAP financial statements, month-end close, internal controls, and external audits; manages treasury, working capital, and debt facilities; drives capital allocation and ERP/system modernization; oversees board materials and regulatory reporting; leads transaction readiness for M&A and financing, and partners with the SVP Strategic Finance and Director of Accounting to build a lean, high-impact finance function suitable for a consumer-focused, periishable-goods business. The candidate should have hands-on experience with physical/inventory businesses, experience as a CFO in a growth-stage consumer/CPG/DTC or subscription company at meaningful scale, and strong systems leadership (ERP, OMS, EDI). The role emphasizes performance accountability, financial discipline, and strategic partnership to drive profitable growth.
