Job Summary
CFO for a well-established personal injury law firm in Atlanta, GA. Lead finance and accounting operations, provide strategic financial planning, forecasting and budgeting to support firm growth, develop financial models related to case valuation and settlement timing, and advise executive leadership on financial implications of business decisions and expansion initiatives. Oversee GAAP compliance, trust accounting (IOLTA), settlement accounting, internal controls, audits, and tax planning. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, lines of credit, liquidity, and vendor relationships; prepare financial reports for ownership and the board; provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Drive profitability, operational efficiency, and financial controls, supporting payroll, marketing spend, and case costs while partnering with ownership and leadership to enable long-term growth.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a CFO or senior financial leader within a law firm or professional services organization (personal injury experience strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
- Strong understanding of contingency-fee revenue models and legal financial operations
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
- CPA is a plus but not required
