Job Summary
Lead the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors in advancing the organization's vision to nearly double its impact by overseeing financial operations, systems, and reporting for a staff of approximately 15 employees. Direct all accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, treasury management, payroll, grants, and contracts while ensuring GAAP compliance and internal controls. Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning to support growth, delivering actionable financial analyses to senior leadership. Champion risk management and continuous improvement of financial technology to ensure scalability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA and/or MBA
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience
- significant tenure in a senior finance executive role (CFO, VP of Finance, or similar)
- Experience within a nonprofit, social enterprise, or other mission-driven organization of comparable scale and complexity
- Proven track record leading, developing, and retaining high-performing, multi-departmental teams
- Strong experience preparing and presenting financial information to Boards of Directors and senior executive audiences
- Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
- ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insight for non-financial audiences
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and executive presence
