Job Summary
Direct all financial aspects of the company, including strategic planning, financial forecasting, and long-range budgeting. Oversee broker-dealer operations by managing regulatory reporting, net capital computations, and ensuring adherence to FINRA and SEC requirements. Liaise with auditors and regulators while leading the accounting team to prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on market trends and business insights. Manage investor relations and communication with all stakeholders. Lead and mentor the finance team to foster high performance and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership roles within a regulated financial services firm
- proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, FinOp or similar role(s)
- Deep knowledge of broker-dealer operations, financial reporting, and regulations
- FINRA Series 27 license
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ability to serve as a key partner on an executive team
- This is a Chicago-based hybrid role
- working 3 days/week in Halo's downtown Chicago office
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- MBA
- experience within a regulated broker-dealer environment in the fintech industry
- Series 24 license
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to serve as a key partner on an executive team
