Job Summary
Oversee an organizational budget of approximately $70 million by leading financial policies, budget planning, execution, and reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. Manage the fiscal team to provide analysis, information, and strategic guidance on resource utilization, including advising the executive leadership team on fiscal health and control measures. Lead financial management activities and the Enterprise Resource Planning ecosystem, overseeing grant financial management, government contracts, and revenue recognition in partnership with the NYC Health Department. Direct the annual audit process, serve as the liaison with external auditors and the Board of Directors, and present financial performance and risk analyses to the Board. Ensure systems support accurate, auditable financial reporting and institute methodologies to mitigate non-compliance risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management
- Proven advanced leadership skills in a not-for-profit industry
- Experience in strategic planning
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of business and fiscal administration
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing mixed and complex revenue streams (government and public funding, philanthropic support, etc.)
- Experience in the oversight and review of financial transactions
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others; ability to supervise and support staff
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies, laws, rules, regulations, and procedures; ability to develop and install program procedures
- Strong leadership skills

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
