Job Summary

Develop and execute multi-year financial strategies across Equity Technology Group and its subsidiaries, leading enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls while managing relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and financial advisors. Design incentive compensation plans, oversee ESOP compliance and valuation processes, and lead a finance team in a lean, multi-subsidiary environment. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for the executive team and Board of Directors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Prior experience as a VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or Controller in a multi-entity or holding company environment
  • Hands-on background across all core financial functions
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year financial strategies aligned with organizational goals across a diversified portfolio of business units
  • Experience building and managing annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes at the enterprise level
  • Track record of translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive and board-level audiences
  • Experience designing or redesigning incentive compensation plans, including annual bonus structures and sales commission frameworks
  • Strong command of financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls across multiple legal entities
  • Experience managing relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and financial advisors
  • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms
  • Ability to lead and develop a finance team in a lean, multi-subsidiary environment
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build trust across departments and subsidiary leadership teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate a transition alongside an outgoing CFO committed to a successful handoff

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business
  • CPA or CMA designation
  • Experience in professional or technical services industries (engineering, software, or consulting)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), including plan compliance, annual valuation processes, and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Experience working with ESOP trustees, plan administrators, and third-party administrators
  • Understanding of ERISA requirements and annual ESOP reporting and disclosure obligations
