Job Summary
Chief Financial Officer leads all financial aspects of Employ Prince George's (EPG), shaping and overseeing budgeting, accounting, grant management, and strategic financial planning; ensures fiscal sustainability, regulatory compliance, and transparent reporting to stakeholders; collaborates with CEO/EVP and executive team, supervises the finance division, and oversees contract management, procurement, and vendor relations to support program delivery and organizational growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR MBA/MPA or CPA certification preferred
- Ten years of experience in financial management in nonprofit setting
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience
- Minimum three years of experience driving process improvements, developing procedures, establishing KPIs and metrics
- Deep knowledge of nonprofit financial regulations, GAAP, grant accounting, and donor compliance
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and attention to detail
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with financial software and systems commonly used in the nonprofit sector
