Job Summary
Drive financial strategy, capital planning, and fiscal discipline to support profitable growth and project execution. Provide financial guidance to the CEO on strategic decisions and investment priorities while overseeing capital structure, project financing, and fundraising efforts. Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GAAP and investor requirements, serving as the primary financial liaison with Pattern Energy. Lead annual budgeting, long-range forecasting, and scenario planning, while managing financial due diligence for acquisitions. Monitor performance against targets and coach the Director of Finance and Accounting team to align financials with project pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles
- At least 5 years as CFO or senior finance executive in a project-based or capital-intensive industry
- Proven experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or EPC sectors
- Strong understanding of project finance, capital structuring, and M&A
- Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning in a high-growth environment
- Proficiency with financial systems (ERP, forecasting tools) and advanced Excel skills
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA designation
- Familiarity with federal and state-level renewable energy incentives, tax equity structures, and intercompany transfer pricing
- Track record of fundraising and managing investor/stakeholder relations
